(14 Nov) The VP and his party arrive at an OP of the 2nd Platoon, 6th Company, 12th Regiment, 1st Republic of Korea Division. The first scene shows him being followed by Generals Taylor and Hull as he walks through a trench. Nixon talks to Korean officers; he visits a bunker. Nixon shakes hands with Korean officer, then leaves. (15 Nov) Nixon arrvies in copter at Base Camp at Munsan-Ni. He is met by General Lacey and United States Ambassador Dean. He walks to the waiting cars, soldiers take pictures of him; cars leave for Gen Lacey's quarters. A group shot outside of shack of Ambassador Dean, Gen Hull, Gen Hamblin, the VP and Gen Taylor. The group walks into the officer's mess hall. The VP is introduced to Korean officers of the 1st ROK Div. Additional scenes of the VP visiting the Korean bunker and talking to the men there. A Korean officer briefs the VP on the area; Gens Hull and Taylor are in the b.g. At the K-16 Airport, Seoul, Mrs Nixon shakes hands with people including Korean officials. The VP and his wife walk up ramp to the plane, turn and wave. Nixon and his wife bid people goodbye. Nixon stands at attention while the National Anthem is played. He inspects Honor Guard and after inspection shakes hands with the drillmaster. Girls present bouquets of flowers to Nixon.
